We have an excellent track record in supermarket accidents
We have an excellent track record of successfully claiming compensation from the big supermarkets on behalf of customers who have suffered injury while doing their shopping.
No Win – No Fee funding
We are able to deal with supermarket accidents throughout South Wales on a No Win – No Fee basis. There’s nothing to pay upfront- we will fund any medical report expenses or court fees.
Common supermarket accidents
Accidents commonly occur as a result of a trip, a slip or a fall. These are often caused by a spillage or a wet floor.
The fruit and vegetable section can be a particularly dangerous part of a modern supermarket. We have dealt with clients who have slipped on a range of different items that have fallen onto the floor and not been cleaned up, from grapes through to tomatoes.
Injuries can arise from dangerous shelving or structures within the supermarket. Nasty lacerations can be caused by sharp, unprotected edges. Customers can also be injured by objects falling on them.
Accidents can occur outside the supermarket itself, with tripping injuries being particularly common in supermarket carparks.
What to do if you suffer a supermarket accident
Supermarkets often offer injured customers a gift voucher as compensation. We would advise you not to accept any such offers until you have spoken to us as acceptance could prejudice a legal claim. Instead you should ask for the accident to be recorded in the supermarket’s accident report book. You may also wish to take photographs of whatever caused your accident, especially if it was a spillage. You should then seek medical treatment from your GP or your local A&E department.
What supermarkets can I claim against?
We deal with claims against all the major supermarkets in Swansea and South Wales, including:
- The Co-op
- Sainsbury’s
- Asda
- Tesco
- Morrisons
- Lidl
- Aldi
